Camo Citadino

Utic Box
The União de Transportes para Importação e Comércio (UTIC) originated in Lisbon in 1944. Its establishment resulted from the collaboration between the main road passenger transport companies. The main objective of this union was to obtain parts at competitive prices for the maintenance of its bus fleets, with emphasis on tires, in the midst of the turbulent scenario experienced not only by the country, but also by the rest of the world at that time.
After the War period, UTIC diversified its activities and began to import chassis directly from manufacturers, while bodies were produced by association members. A significant milestone occurred with the importation of the first expressive series of Mack chassis, originating in the United States, between 1947 and 1948. Later, UTIC acquired 30 units of the Guy Arab III 6LW model, in an export version with right-hand drive . This model was used on a large scale not only in Portugal, but also in countries such as the Netherlands and Belgium.
Currently it is only found in Rodoeste.
