THE ONLY SURVIVOR

Karsan Jest stands out as the only model, among several that have already circulated on the island of Madeira, to have established a lasting service with Funchal Timetables. The question that arises is why the other models failed to achieve this feat. By many accounts, battery limitations were a determining factor. Many of these models faced the problem of autonomy, being able to complete only 2 or 3 trips to Monte before depleting the battery charge. Surprisingly, Karsan Jest also shares this same limitation. Currently, it is mainly assigned to route 05 and other lesser routes in the central region of Funchal.
