Rodoeste, founded in March 1967, is the result of the merger of three historical companies in public passenger transport: Empresa Automobilista da Ribeira Brava, Lda., Sociedade Automobilista de Câmara de Lobos, Lda. and Sociedade de Automóveis do Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, Ltd.

Its area of activity is centered mainly on the western region of the stunning island of Madeira, covering in particular the municipalities of Câmara de Lobos, Ribeira Brava, Ponta do Sol, Calheta, Porto Moniz and São Vicente.
